Draw, Write, Now
This school year we are trying something new. I saw this at the curriculum fair this year and I just couldn’t resist. For my younger children we will be using this three days a week. It is a basic handwriting (manuscript) program combined with a drawing (art) program. It is colorful and fun. There are also book lists and thematic study suggestions if you want to expand you study.
I bought the entire boxed set but you can purchase each book individually. I also purchased the workbooks to go along with it. It is just easier for me to keep everything organized that way.
We have not begun yet but I have all three of my little girls asking when, when, when we can start on it. I think it may be a highlight this year!
If you are interested take a moment to visit their website, HERE. They also have sample lessons so you have a first hand look at the curriculum. You could even try it out with your children before purchasing.
Have any of you used this curriculum before? If so, what do you think? Did your children enjoy it? Did it improve their drawing skills? I would love your input!

That looks good, Kristine. Are you back to school yet?
I trust you have a great year of school and that pregnancy is not too tiring at this time. Also think of your hubby and pray his time away will pass quickly.

@Ruby, We will officially start school on Aug. 2nd. I am slowly regaining some energy with this pregnancy. I want to get a jump start on school because I know I will take a break when this little guy arrives.
Thank you for your prayers! Hubby is definitely ready to come home and we are more than ready for him to be back!

May daughter loved the “Draw, Write now” books. It was fun and they practiced their writing. I love it when the kids are enthusiastic and wanting to use what I buy. It makes the day soooooooo much easier!

@Donna J, It is good for me to hear of others who liked the curriculum! Good reviews are always encouraging. I think my little ones will love it too!

Kristine – so….you think this is best for the younger set? Elementary? Is it really good for both or “mostly” art with a bit of handwriting or vice versa.

@De’Etta, I would say for the younger children. It is in manuscript only, but you could adjust that. The pictures are simple and basic. They have some sample lessons on their site if you want to take a look.

I’m going to get this for Princess K. She is older but I think it will really help her with her writing. And possibly Little G since she LOVES doing school with the other kids.
