I so agree that folks FORGET that many of these &quot;positions&quot; are also spiritual gifts and God would not have gifted believers with those gifts if they were not needed in the body. Conversely....to take the title without the spiritual gifting misses the whole point of having pastors/ elders etc....I&#039;ve seen several get upset and believe the local church is a thing of the past...then set themselves up as leaders of a local group of believers....saying they don&#039;t need to be trained. I can go along with that...but I cannot agree that one should be assume and take that position for themselves without the Lord first gifting them with that gift/role.

		<description>Sad but true. 
The ministry and eldership in general is not regarded so highly as it should be. They have rule over us and care of our souls. It is both a privilege and grave responsibility. We as lay people do not realize the great task it is handling the word of God, and the weight it carries.
