It Has Arrived!
It has arrived! What you ask? That mean little flu bug has arrived! Hubby took one of our daughters to the ER yesterday. She has conjunctivitis, an ear infection, and tested positive for the flu. Hubs is not feeling so hot and neither am I. We have a couple of children with headaches. Our company leaves tomorrow so I am hoping she can keep from catching that bug flying around our home. At least, some of our activities are taking a break for the rest of the month. I was hoping to use that break to catch up on not having been working on schooling the last three weeks but we may spend that time fighting illness. I wish it would just get cold and snow already! At least that way we could kill off a few germs around here.

Sickness is always hard to handle – especially when the mother is down with it too! Trust you all get better soon. One nice thing about home schooling, when we have (unplanned) long periods of no school work it can usually be made up along the track. No doubt your long cold Winter lends itself to staying in doors and hitting a few books.

Oh that’s too bad. Last Christmas our family drove from WI to TX to spend the holidays with our eldest daughter and her little family. In all, she had 11 of us, (Not all our children could make it) and the 4 of them. Out of us all that week about 9 of us got the flu. It was horrible. The whole week was spent mostly laying around and, well, you know, making many trips to the bathroom. And so many little kids. UHG. I so know what you are going through. Hope you all get better fast.
