Finding and Seeking After God
We do not “find” God as a result for our search for him. We are found by him. The search for God does not end in conversion; it begins at conversion. It is the converted person who genuinely and sincerely seeks after God.

R.C. Sproul is among my favorite ministers of the Gospel.
He is absolutely correct here. Only the redeemed can understand the mystery of the Gospel. It is foolishness to the unredeemed. Once God has found us and we have accepted His gift of eternal life, only then can we search out the truth of scripture and expect it to be revealed to us.
