Next Year’s School Plan

the-yellow-books-c1887-giclee-print-c12439864

I am definitely in the planning mode.  I have been trying to plan out our summer excursions and I am also focusing on school for next year.  The core of our homeschool program is remaining the same but I am thinking of adding a few things and trying some new stuff.  I am off to the curriculum fair later this week to purchase materials.  There are also some new activites we are adding.  We will be crazy busy but if my hubby is deployed like we are expecting, it will be nice to keep ourselves occupied.  It will also force us to get out and about rather than sitting and moping around at home.  I will have two children who can drive unsupervised too so that will help out a bit too.  Here is the plan for next year (as of the moment).  This is still open to some revamping but I think we are pretty much set.  I will have to try and find time to blog in here somewhere too…

I’ll be back to full time homeschooling starting in June. Oldest will be in college. We were recently blessed by a homeschool mom who gave us 6 boxes of gently used curriculum – for FREE! Our move to New Mexico in the fall means that we’ll all do a state history unit. I love Wordly Wise, but my 14 YO son hates it. Using grammar units for literature from grammardog.com and other misc things. Our free books included entire units of Abeka. I’ve never used Abeka before, but I might try it along with some more hand-on stuff. I have a hard time supressing my creativity!

Wow, do you have a co-op or something? The only curriculum we have in common will be Apologia Zoology 3. Looks like you have a great line-up though. What is “Bible Beginnings?”

Your plans look great. In response to those who ask me how I do it all…work, homeschool, etc. I simply respond “a lot of prayer.” ;)

I can do nothing without Him.

    Love you!
