I started combining this year too. It is amazing at how much more gets covered when you intertwine everything.

I am currently homeschooling two of our five children. The other three are doing well in our local public educational system. This "combination" of schooling styles has worked for us this year, although I am planning to bring two more home next fall.

I'm so glad to hear that you combine several curriculums to meet the needs of your family! I always felt like the oddball because I pieced together items from many publishers.

I have 3 young ones (3,5,7). We do a lot of unit studies, and until recently I had not given much thought to teaching history chronologically. I'm beginning to toy with the idea now, though. I particularly like the idea that Biblical history is interwoven with the rest, i.e. your Egypt example.

Thanks for giving me more food for thought on this.

Blessings,
Shannon
