The other three are doing well in our local public educational system. This "combination" of schooling styles has worked for us this year, although I am planning to bring two more home next fall. I'm so glad to hear that you combine several curriculums to meet the needs of your family! I always felt like the oddball because I pieced together items from many publishers. We do a lot of unit studies, and until recently I had not given much thought to teaching history chronologically. I'm beginning to toy with the idea now, though. I particularly like the idea that Biblical history is interwoven with the rest, i.e. your Egypt example. Thanks for giving me more food for thought on this.
