The Big Question For the Day
To go to the hospital or not to go to the hospital……
If you are not a textbook labor/delivery type of momma, do you wait for textbook symptoms?
Do you go to the hospital just to be safe and risk feeling dumb (since it is baby number 9) and getting sent home OR do you risk waiting too long and end up delivering in the car??? hmmmmm

I vote for going to the hospital. The Cap’n was very nearly born in the car. Not a good feeling. Of course that wasn’t my doing. I had been to the hospital and they’d already sent me home. Only to get there and realize we needed to turn around and go back. I’m praying for you.

Go to the hospital! My 2 boys are grown, but they were almost born in the car.
By the way, my husband is retired from the Air Force. You have a pretty blog. My husband is now a Baptist minister.
Have a nice evening.

If you’re asking, then go.
Are you going right now? Or are you already gone?

Sorry don’t know how to answer this one. I have put off calling the midwife for awhile, but none of my kids were ever born without her. The one that could have been born in the car wouldn’t turn his head so I ended up with a c-section with him. I would probably be stuborn and wait rather than risk being told to go home but for you I would say to go and keep us posted. Will be praying for you.

I have read some research that showed that the more children you have the more likely the labour will slow when you get to hospital. That mothers of lots of children need a little more time when arriving to settle:-). I mostly went early: several times I have asked if I could stay a couple of hours somewhere and sure as anything I had the baby that night. Last time I waited to things were really going and we only just made it. Just as well as I had a PP bleed.

LOL – I had those same thoughts…and always waited….never had one in the car…but who knows. They really panic when you say you are here to deliver your 9th. They move quickly. ::snort::
It won’t be long now….you’ve been in my prayers. I remember moving, settling in and having a baby all within a month. LOL

I think it depends on your past deliveries and how far away the hospital is. Mine are super fast, so I dont even attempt to make it to the hospital.
I am right behind you. I think at this point I might make it another 2 weeks tops. Starting to get those tale tale signs that things are nearing the end.
