Progress & Power

Snazzy title for a post huh? Well, this is not a snazzy post, just an update. We have made more progress! All of our carpeting is installed! It looks great. All of the electrical in the kitchen is finally finished and without my hubby electrocuting himself! The lights are working! I love my new light fixtures too! We have the beam up and bracing the ceiling/roof since we ended up indeed removing a load bearing wall. So things should move a bit more quickly now.

Now for the power bit….
We woke up to no electricity this morning. So hubby was late for work. Our water is from a well but with no electric the pump doesn’t work meaning no water. Our furnace is gas but you need electricity for the blower. We are not unpacked and the boxes are all in the garage so we had lanterns. Of course we have no candles and the children played with our two flashlights so we just bummed around in the dark for a few hours.

Living without those things that most everyone, ourselves included, tends to take for granted makes one think and makes one even more thankful for the blessings and provisions of the Lord!

I see that the great adventure is well under way. I know you will enjoy the whole experience and will look back on these days with a laugh. Your family is in my prayers as I know the Lord will meet your every need.
    Have a great week-end.

Congrats on the house.. I’m sure it will look great when you have everything set up like you like and get rid of all the boxes. That sometimes seems like a never ending job in and of itself.

Continuing to pray for your pregnancy and for health..

    God bless,
    Sallie, Mike, and kids

Sounds like things are moving right along. Sorry about the no electricity though. That is a bummer. The only thing I have lost lately is my spell check on my computer. My spelling is terrible without it!!! Sorry.

So I’m taking that you wrote this on a laptop?

Glad to see that you’re taking two steps forward, even if you got saddled with one step back.
