An Extra Long OB Visit

Hubby and I went in for a routine OB visit to check out the baby and ended up staying a bit longer than anticipated. I shared with the doctor my concern with the lack of movement. She listened to the baby for a while and told us she noticed so decelerations in the baby’s heart rate. Just to make sure things were ok we had another ultrasound, to watch for movement, practice breathing movements, and to measure the amniotic fluid levels. This all looked good. I also spent about half an hour on the monitor to watch the baby’s heart rate. All looked good there. We think that she just grabbed her cord while playing. So all looks well at the moment but I am going back a few weeks sooner for another visit just to keep a closer eye on our little one.

I’m surprised that they haven’t given you an ultrasound machine for home yet– you two should be pros at this. :)

Oh wow – I’m glad everything looks ok. Still must make your heart race a little bit though, I’m sure. Isn’t it a relief to know God is always in control!

Oh, I remember those days. My little girl used to do that, too. She would hold the cord or something. Isn’t it amazing how the Lord looks after those little unborn babies? I love that! Hey, I just posted something about a curriculum I’m unsure of. Can you stop by and take a look and see if you have heard anything about it? Any information would help me. Thanks.

I spent a couple of afternoons up on the floor at that clinic. Glad all is o.k. and it’s sort of nice to get to see them more often near the end. LOL

Hi~ I will pray that all goes well with your pregnacy. I have 6 kidos I had 4 boys first and now have 2 girls. With my first girl (baby#5) I was and did have my 2nd homebirth, but 2 day before she was due there was little to no movement~talk about scared? I know God says,be not afraid but it can be hard. She is fine and 3yrs old now,but she was 10#11oz and looked like a bloated summo wrestler. I think the plasenta was dying? I will pray and like my OB told me when I had bleeding with my last baby (#6) God loves that baby more than you can ever know.
I will pray for you, that you will rest in God’s peace. Peace from you worry, and enjoy things as they are knowing God cares about you…Let God work ((( HUGS AND CARING))).

    Peace in Christ,
    Georgiann
