A Ripstick & a Concussion
- Earlier this week when hubby and I were out and our older girls were babysitting our ten year old feel off of a ripstick.
- She was not wearing a helmet.
- She hit her head hard enough that she was unconscious.
- She lost her sight.
- She was answering questions posed to her but not remembering 2 minutes later that we asked her anything.
- She was also nauseous.
- We headed to the ER.
- She vomited a few times and then her sight returned.
- Two cat scans, an x-ray, and a lot of waiting time later we returned home.
- She has a severe concussion.
- She still has symptoms and can continue to for up to a month.
- She now knows she must always wear a helmet!
- I am so thankful for God’s protecting hand over my children.
