I’ll Fly Away
Jacque has a great testimony about this hymn and how the Lord has used it in her life, in the past and just the other day! It is one of my favorites also. Since Jacque has the words and a story on her blog, I thought I would place a recording on mine. This arrangement is sung by Jars of Clay and I love it!!

LOL. I hope the video loads so I can hear it.
This song has really meant a lot since we have been dealing with everything with Grandma in the nursing home and now at home in her last weeks of life, too.
It is a bittersweet joy, I guess. Hearing those young voices sing at the top of their lungs was just such a joy!!
blessings my friend!

This is perhaps my all time favorite hymn. There is joy, hope, and rejoicing in the air when that song is being played.
I like the Jars of Clay version, but I do prefer a more up tempo arrangement.
That does give me an idea for a Thursday Thirteen though…my 13 favorite hymns. I doubt if many in the blogosphere will recognize some of them, but that’s ok. They mean a great deal to me.

Mama Archer:
Go back into YouTube and find the Kim Hopper/David Phelps version of I’ll Fly Away. If that don’t light your fire, then your wood is wet!!!
