Yes, it is okay to pray for the physical needs that we have but God is more concerned with our spiritual needs. Sometimes our circumstance need to be as they are for our spiritual benefit. We should pray more for our spiritual condition and service to God rather than just our physical circumstances. You are so right! Paul never asked for believers to pray for his release from captivity or difficult circumstances. Rather he asked for prayer that he might be the bold witness in the place that he found himself. Paul realized that he might be the only opportunity some of his accusers would ever have to hear the truth of the Gospel and he asked for strength and courage to be used by God to golify Christ.<br/>Most of us ask for release from our circumstances rather than the strength, courage, and boldness to be God's person in the place where we are.
