Our Menu
Today we begin our baking for Thanksgiving. We will be cooking tomorrow too. I am starting to feel a little anxious about having such a large gathering at my home for the holiday. This Thanksgiving is turning into a family reunion. There will most likely be families from four states here. If everyone shows up we will have close to 40 people for our gathering. Everyone is bringing something but I am still cooking an entire meal. So do you think this menu will feed that many people?
- 2 turkeys
- ham
- 2 greenbean cassaroles
- 2 sweet potato cassaroles
- corn cassarole
- cornbread stuffing
- wild rice
- mashed potatoes
- gravy
- cranberry salad
- cranberry sauce
- jello salad
- ambrosia salad
- veggie tray
- rolls
- pumpkin pie
- pecan pie
- apple pie
- cherry pie
- butter brickle bars
- pumpkin pecan roll
- another veggie
- another dessert

Kristine,
I visited your blog to read a quote that Trish linked too. I wanted to read more but my computer keeps freezing but now it’s on.
We seem to have a lot in common. We homeschool, we’re quiverful (9 children), my dh is an Air Force chaplain. LOL
As for your menu – it looks wonderful! I’m sure it will be enough – especially with others bringing food.
Have fun.

Sounds like plenty to me, but 20 is the biggest crowd I’ve ever had, and that was with other people bringing dishes. I think it was a good idea to double up on some of the same dishes.
You’ll need a boatload of potatoes, but I bet you’ve got some good peelers in your house

no shortage of good peelers here!
)
I think mashed potatoes is the one dish I do not have to make though! Maybe I should ask how much she is bringing though, I might need to double up on it!

Sounds great.. I have to humbly admit to being a bit covetous and wishing we could be with all the family too. We are having dinner with a few guys from Q/A at one of the other guys house. We pray you all have a great time and enjoy the company!!
