I love reading your blog so don't quit! Lol, as a person who's traveled through weird career choices, I can't say I haven't done some good in the world. I've talked runaways home, and wanna be runaways to re-think that choice and stay home. I've talked suicidal people into living, and bolemists into knocking it off. I've lived a weird life and I can personally say, when I remember to let the Lord lead, things come out right in the end. There are many times I wish he didn't trust me so much, but that again is his choice and I wouldn't be in those weird places if he didn't put me there in the first place. Besides, someone has to be there and I wouldn't want to put others through all the insanity so it might as well be me. (He designed me to handle it.)

You do not have my permission to stop blogging... EVER! I will lose a friend! Anyway, you inspire me through your writing :) Does that help? Hope so. You are an AWESOME lady!

I agree with you. The world is at a lost and at times I wonder what I am doing within the homeschool ministry is making a difference at all towards the furthering of the kingdom... I look at my ordinary life and it seems so insignificant at times. However, when I am focused on the Lord and am reading His word, the more I learn and the more I have a heart for the homeschool mom their families. People like you who inspire, teach and encourage others through their blog is important... without you there would be a loss.

Hang in there!
Valerie

Thank you for your encouraging words. I do not plan on stopping, just every now and again, I wonder.....
That is why I posted the verses along with this about not growing weary because at times I know I do allow myself to grow weary and I need to focus on the Lord and to not be discouraged.

You should blog, even if it's just for yourself. I worried when I started that nobody was reading mine. Now, a few months later, I have made great blog friends. Some of them I probably wouldn't have taken the time to know had I met them in "real life", yet they are the ones who have been so supportive and encouraging the past feww weeks while I've been dealing with my doctors. So blog, make friends, share your thoughts and beliefs. Even if only one person is touched by you, it's worth it.

I think its fair to say there will always be a dissenters voice. It can be our own self doubt or it can be others telling us we are wrong. I don't think its necessary to listen to that voice so long as we do evaluate ourselves. Plus there really ARE plenty of worldly mindsets to go against!

I do think though that we can never be 100% free of error, because we always have sin in our life. However, we can, and should, choose to do our best to overcome that sin through Christ. As you said, the more I learn, the more I realize I have to learn!

I was reminded of Christ being the potter when the children were doing the pottery class. I watched every time they squished what looked like to me a near perfect piece back into a big lump of clay. It wasn't good enough yet in their artistic minds eye. God is always squishing our near perfectness (in our own minds) back into just a lump of clay to work on us some more and to form us better to the true perfection of Himself in us.
