I was backing out of a parking space on my first "solo" drive, and turned too sharply and nicked the car parked next to me. (no damage) I went home and cried and said I would never drive again and I still am careful about that and think about it over 20 years later. So true. He passed his test and now we just have to wait the required time for him to upgrade his permit to a provisional license and then wait to upgrade to a real one! yes, he has been “practicing” driving with us for a few months now.
