Journey Through the Bible

This is one of our MUST HAVE books. A day rarely passes when we do not reference this book in one way or another. We absolutely love this book! This book allows you to travel story-by-story (about 250 Bible stories) through Bible lands and times from Genesis to Revelation. Discovering things such as how ancient people really lived; the foods they ate, the homes they lived in, the clothes they wore, the work they performed.

This book includes:

  • over 400 colorful pages of photographs, drawings, maps, and charts
  • more than 100 drawings from objects or monuments of Bible times,
  • over 200 photographs of Bible lands today,
  • photographs of more than 50 archaeological discoveries,
  • scores of reconstructions and diagrams,
  • and dozens of colorful maps.

My children love to be able to see a photograph of the area we are learning about. It makes the lessons come to life. They are able to see photos of Mount Sinai, the Jezreel Valley, the reconstruction of a gate of Babylon, a sycamore tree, the Sea of Galilee at sunset, the Mount of Precipitation; the traditional place where people tried to kill Jesus, and many, many more!

This book is one I highly recommend! In fact, our binding is beginning to break because we have used it so much; we may have to buy another!
