A Few Busy Days

It just seems to be that time of year when things tend to kick into high gear. People are getting ready for school and trying to accomplish everything they didn’t get finished in the summer months. The same with us to a small extent. Since moving back to Texas, Sea World was a must on our list. We were extremely bored on Saturday so we thought we would check into getting our tickets. We found that this past week-end for the water park section of Sea World to be open! Hmmmm, do you have any idea how HOT and HUMID it is here??(especially from moving here from up north!) We knew if we did not go this week-end we would definitely have to make another trip next summer. So we forked out a HUGE chunk of change (bills rather)and bought passes. We were able to purchase the 2008 passes (for all of 2008) but are able to begin using it now! It was only about $15-20 more per person, so really we only have to go 1 1/3 times for it be paid for. Now we can go anytime we want to and we do not have to feel like we have to accomplish doing everything in the park on one day(been there done that). We can go for a few hours and when we overheat we can leave and just come back another day. We were also able to meet up with my brother-in-law’s family there as well and spend some time hanging out with the cousins!

The other busy and rather hectic thing we did was yesterday. Silly me thought it would be safe to go to Office Max for the few school supplies we need for our school year. After all, the government schools started that day. They should have already had all of their shopping done! I didn’t know that many people could fit into an Office Max!! It was unbelievable!

But in between these two busy days we had a restful and peaceful Lord’s Day. I thank you Lord for giving us these days for Your worship and for our rest.

Passes are great because you don’t feel bad if you only stay awhile. We used to get them for a local water park and just treated it like going to the park and we would leave as soon as it started to get busy.

I couldn’t agree with you more! We can go for short spurts and enjoy it so much more than running ourselves into the ground trying to do it all at once!

Did you guys know about Hero Salute? Of course, it sounded like you wanted passes anyway but 1/2 of you could have gotten in free this time and nearly all of Jake’s family would have been free.. Something to keep an eye on in case they extend another year.. We are going to the one in San Diego soon..

we have done that in the past, a couple of times, we wanted passes.
Make sure everybody has IDs, Jason had to pay for all the children because they couldn’t show ID (they have not gotten them for the older children yet)
