Thirteen Things For Calm & Relaxation

1. Read your Bible. Try starting in the Psalms, Proverbs, or John
2. The smell of a rose.
3. Snuggling with a sleeping baby.
4. The smell of a clean baby.
5. A good back rub.
6. Warm brownies.
7. Sit in front of a crackling fire.
8. Listen to a little Mozart.
9. Nice hot bath.
10. Drinking hot cocoa and reading a good book.
11. Snuggling with you spouse and watching a romantic movie.
12. The smell of lavender.
13. Listening to the birds sing whether that be birds in the morning or hooting owls at night.

    I agree with most of that but I don’t like lavender and Mozart and as I have no baby available I snuggle with my cat !

    Re: the Bible, seems to me that it depends very much on which parts you read, yes? For example, I don’t find Leviticus or Deuteronomy or indeed most of the Old Testament really calming (?)

    Brownies are wonderful for solving problems are at least making them seem better.

    And a cup of hot chocolate and a good book are the perfect way to spend a winter day.

    Thanks for stopping by – we were kind of the same page with our thirteens this morning. Only I was being greedy wanting a whole day to relax – little bits here and there would be easier to accomplish. And cuddling is wonderful, be it child, spouse, or pet. Sometimes maybe even a teddy bear:)
