Facing The Giants

My husband and I watched this movie several months ago and really enjoyed it. This is the story of a high school football coach who turns to God when everything seems to be going against him. We laughed and cried and thoroughly enjoyed this movie! The criticism I have heard, from Christians in fact, is that it seems when the coach turns to God everything ends up just grand! The Christian life is not always easy and perfect but often filled with difficulties and trials. This is a true statement. However, I did not get that feeling from the film. This is also a fact, that when we are living life the way God intended it things do tend to go better for us! It is not that circumstances are always good but that we are able to deal with them with grace and strength in the Lord.
