What Bible Are They Reading?

I pass by this one church in town every time I take my son to school and on the marque they always have a saying of some sorts. You can tell this is a very liberal church simply by the comments that they post. Most of them annoy my husband and I but this last week I was down right angry over it! I wanted to march in their and give their pastor a talking to and ask him what Bible he was reading! Did he bother to even read it??? It said…

Give evil nothing to oppose and it will disappear by itself.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Let me ask this, what does evil oppose or rather what opposes evil? Is it not God? Is it not good? So if we are to give evil nothing to oppose, that means no good and do away with God! Have we become so desensitized to evil that we no longer see it that way? Why is the church so much like the world? Aren’t we supposed to be a peculiar people, set apart and holy for God?

Isaiah 5:20
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

I know exactly what church you are talking about. While I don’t remember seeing that sign, it’s probably a good thing — I might hurt my brain trying to figure out how anyone could think that statement makes any sense at all!
