Moving Update

Well, after several tearful goodbyes we did hit the road. Driving was made difficult with children saying they didn’t want to leave and me echoing the same but trying to remind them that God has great plans ahead for us. My five year old Abigail then said she could tell people about Jesus at our new house. What a blessing to my heart that was!
I sit here typing this now in the hotel lobby in Billings, Montana. I should be off to bed since we are leaving bright and early to make Colorado Springs by the end of the day tomorrow.
We are all doing well and for those of you in Spokane, we already miss you and the area that will fell like home for a long time to come!
I will check in as often as possible just to let you know how we are doing and where we are not to mention a few prewritten posts for the blog.

Hello, Friend… we thought of you so many times thru the day today- “I wonder if they left… I wonder how far away they are already… I wonder how the children are making out with the long drive ahead”…. we miss you all so much- thanks for keeping it light when you picked up the kids on Sunday and for giving them one lase time to play together- I know my kids will sorely miss yours…. their time together was short, but made an impression of a lifetime. You and Brian made Sunday school special… we laughed a lot but learned so much more. It just won’t be the same without you. Stay well, My friend… and God’s speed always. Thanks for being such a good example to so many.

I was a pk too, and boy did we move a lot. I know exactly what your kids, at least, are feeling. It wasn’t always easy, but it was always an adventure. I’ll be thinking of you all especially today as you start new lives in CO.

Good luck with the move. We are fairly new to our hometown. We’ve been here about 1.5 years now. I know for about 6 months-1 year I felt attached to our former home (friends, family and all the familiar things, people knowing my name) more than our current home. I pray you and your family will have a quicker recovery than I did. It takes time, I am sure you know that! There is nothing better than feeling at home where you are! Good luck and remember every day the transition will become a little easier! Many blessings to you and your family!
